The Manoel Theatre in Malta’s capital of
Valletta opened in 1732. Built by the Knights of St. John, the theatre was designed to offer ‘honest’
entertainment. So Tricia and I decided to take a tour. The theater can seat 600 people and there are 67 exclusive theater boxes. Even a box for Heads-of-State. A museum of antique stage props includes a
wind machine, a rolling thunder gadget, and a rain maker.
