He may be a bona fide Hollywood star now. But that doesn’t mean Chris Evans has forgotten about the youth theater company he got his start at  On Saturday, Chris, 38, returned to his native Massachusetts to help dedicate the permanent new home of the Concord Youth Theatre alongside his mother, Lisa   It is the same theater Chris began honing his craft at age nine, years before becoming the Hollywood star he is today  Aside from his own personal connection, the theater is close to his heart for another big reason – Chris’ mother, Lisa, currently serves as the theater’s directer    Share this article Share The actor wore a Boston Red Sox hat, smart blue sweater, and brown slacks as he helped cut the ribbon at the Concord Youth Theatre’s new permanent home  He said the theater was ‘a place to feel safe and take risks and explore what would ultimately be my career,’ according to the AP   For the last few years, the theater has been operating out of multiple different venues, so Saturday marked a major reason to celebrate, according to CBS Boston Faith was on the verge of tears as she described the role the theater played in the lives of her own children ‘It means everything as a mother knowing what this place did for my children, and to watch it continue for generations to come I hope,’ she said.  The new building has seating for more than 200. Concord Youth Theatre will debut its new space with Godspell this week  As for Chris, the actor is currently filming the TV series, Defending Jacob.Fans may have caught him on the big screen as Captain America in this year’s, Avengers: Endgame
