Home Theatre Solutions #PanasonicIFA
One of the questions that we’re always asked as Panasonic’s product experts is what sort of home theater system is right for me. With televisions getting thinner, and thinner, and thinner over the last few years, there’s very little space to house big speakers. So you may miss out on bass response and you don’t get that immersive experience that good home cinema system can provide. But at Panasonic, we provide people with a number of options to pair with their VIERA televisions. The first of these would be the kind of sound stage option or the speaker board. Here we’ve got the HTE180 and the HTE80. Slightly different sizes, the sounds exactly the same. But depending on the size of the pedestal on your television. You can either fit the television on top of them, or they’ll sit really nicely inside your racking system. 2 subwoofers and aero ports in each unit give you that great bass response that the thin chassis of the television just can’t give you. Behind me we’ve got the HTB880. This is a really special sound bar. It’s a 5.1 system, so you’ve got virtual rear speakers, side speakers, which are great for music and other special effects, and a dedicated sense speaker purely for sound. We’ve also got in my mock living room, an 885 home theater system. Now, this is a 5.1 genuinely split speakers, so you will have to trail wires around the room, but for that really full, rich home theater experience, you can’t beat having 2 front speakers, a dedicated sense speaker, and the rear speakers actually placed at the rear of the room. It’s also full of really clever technology like NFC and some smart apps as well. So, perhaps if you’re applying this to a slightly older set, which doesn’t have those smart features, then having those built-in on a unit like the 8A5 is a really good choice.
