Depending on the type of DVD player you have,
the outputs may vary. Higher end DVD, HD DVD and Blu-Ray players will have an HTMI output
for superior digital picture quality. If you have a choice, this is how you want to go.
Some players have a VGA output. This is also useful if you are using your computer as a
video source instead of a DVD player. Component video is the next best thing giving you a
progressive scan playback and or HD signals depending on your DVD player. DVI inputs also
give you a true digital picture. Again, use the best cables possible for the equipment
that you have at home.
