How to Install a Home Theater : The Subwoofer for Home Theater System Setup

There are two types of subwoofer that you
can use for your home entertainment system. An active which is a powered speaker with
its own built in power supply or passive speaker which will require the use of an outside power
source such as an amplifier. Here we are using an active subwoofer. The subwoofer only requires
an audio source from a basic RCA cable sent from your receiver. A passive or non-powered
speaker will not have a built in power supply and most likely will have a speaker wire connection.

  1. I think people need to start flagging expert village videos for misleading text/title, I click on them expecting to find something out – not to be told the blooming obvious!!!!

  2. @MrPopyotop Hmm, kan you film you amp and reciever? And the back of your sub and the front? So with the amp and reciever? Or a high quality picture? And have you connected the amp correct to the reciever?

  3. @MrPopyotop Have you set the reciever on the right channel for the inout if your music device, dvd player, music player etc?

  4. Quick tip for best subwoofer placement: Disconnect other speakers beside the subwoofer. Place the subwoofer on the seat you usually sit in, play some bass heavy audio then move around your room until you locate an area where the sub sounds the best. Place the sub in that area.
