How to make a Fortune Teller’s Crystal Ball // DIY Halloween Prop // The Magic Crafter

“The Magic Crafter” *** Magical Sounding Music Continues to play *** Hello my friends! It is Phantom from The Magic Crafter dot com (www.TheMagicCrafter.com) And in just a moment I will be showing you how to make a Fortune Teller’s Magical Crystal Orb. We are going to gather the materials first though, so make sure you have everything that you need! To make this captivating Halloween Prop, here’s what you’ll need: One Paper Cup. A wooden Stir Stick. A few paper towels, just in case! Metallic Acrylic Paint or your choice of colors. I’ll be using a metallic silver, a metallic blue, and a metallic purple. You will need a LOT of water. And last, you will need a plastic snow globe ornament with a bottom piece that comes out. It’s a DIY sort of thing that you can find in the Christmas isle of most crafting stores this time of the year. Mine’s a little dirty. To begin, take your paper cup and your choice of colors of metallic acrylic paints. For this tutorial, I am going to be using blue, purple, and silver. You can feel free to mix up the colors if you’d like. And you can use the ratios I’m using. Or you can just do whatever the heck you want, because it will look fabulous either way! I’m going to begin by measuring out approximately 1/4 teaspoon of blue metallic acrylic paint. And then I’m going to add a 1/2 teaspoon of silver paint. Approximately… And another 1/2 teaspoon of the purple paint. Aaaannnd… I made a mess… :C This is why you have all of the paper towels! :’C Because if you are messy like me, you are going to need them! We’ll just roll with it… it’s okay! After all of your paint is into your paper cup, pour some water into the cup. Grab your wooden stir stick, and stir! Stir, and stir…. *** Fairytale Music continues to play *** After you have the majority of your paint mixed into your water, it’s time to grab your plastic snow globe. Make sure the top is unscrewed. And we are going to pour the mixture into the snow globe. *** Fairytale Music Playing *** I still have some paint left in the bottom of my cup, so I’m going to mix in some more water just to dissolve the rest of it. I want to get as much of the paint into the snow globe as possible. Go ahead now and take your pitcher of water, and fill your snow globe to the rim with water. *** Fairytale Music Playing *** This next part is a bit tricky and can be a bit messy, so make sure you have your paper towels ready! Take the inside piece of your snow globe And you are going to press it down and seal it. Now, if water starts to leak out, make sure you have your paper towels to catch it. Once the inside piece is secured on there good, take the outside piece and screw it on. Make sure it’s screwed on tight! And now flip it over… Give it a shake…. And that, my friends, is how you make a Fortune Teller’s Magical Crystal Ball.
