Jennifer & Randall Surprise Everyone With Their Southern Accents | Season 2 Ep. 12 | BEAT SHAZAM

Jennifer and Randal, how do
you feel about Classic Rock? – Pretty good.
– Pretty good. I like Classic Rock. (SOUTHERN ACCENT) We grew up
kind of like, with the MTV era, watching the TV a lot. We love it. [laughter] I’m not trying to be
stereotypical, I swear to God. But I just did not think
that was going to come out of your throat like that. [laughter] We were born and raised
in the Mississippi Delta. My grandfather pretty
much started it all. He came over from
Hong Kong, and he heard that Mississippi
was the place to be for agricultural stuff, man. He saw a business opportunity
where like he could defeat the segregation idea. So there was like,
a group of people– [applause] That shut your
ass up, didn’t it? Y’all was laughing,
and it was, oh. Black people are like,
oh, he’s one of us. My grandparents
opened a grocery store, and we were able
to sell groceries. And we actually had a
pretty successful business. And then more Asian
families came, because we were able
to offer an opportunity they didn’t have anywhere. Everybody was welcome. That’s what it’s about, man. When people come and literally
no matter where you are from, no matter what creed, or
color to be able to say, America is the greatest
place in the world, and not feel any
way about it, man. Thank you so much, man. Thank you so much for
playing and coming.

  1. When a British singer sings, the accent is mostly gone. When a country singer sings, the southern accent is still very there.

  2. I thought all white people in the south were racist and tried to kill all minorities on site? That's what all the Democrats say.
