Lincoln Center & NYC’s Upper West Side
If a family comes to Lincoln Center and wants to make a whole day of it, a great place to start is the Museum of Natural History. Kids of all ages love to see the animals in their natural habitats that they have. And, it has wonderful skeletons of mastodons and mammoths and dinosaurs and everybody really loves it! If you want to do some shopping, you’ve got to go to the shops at Columbus Circle in the Time Warner Building You have everything from J.Crew to Whole Foods down on the lower level. To men’s fashions, women’s fashions. Its really a stunning sort of urban shopping center. Another good place is just simply Central Park. Its gorgeous! Its one of the most beautiful parks in the world. It has a carousel for kids. It has the Central Park Zoo. And, its gorgeous any time of year. If you want to dine before you come to a show at Lincoln Center there’s several good choices nearby. Ed’s Chowder House, a terrific American seafood restaurant. Another good spot, that’s been there for a very long time, is Cafe Fiorello’s. There noted for there antipasto bar, and that’s a lot of fun. And, it has out-door seating too! A great spot, and its actually three spots in one, are the restaurants of Daniel Boulud. Who’s thought to be one of the best, if not the best, French chef in America. After a show at Lincoln Center, a great place to go is the Empire Hotel roof. You get a gorgeous view of all the buildings at Lincoln Center, of the whole panorama of the Upper West side, and actually all the way down to Midtown.
