One Man, Two Guvnors at Ethington Theatre

(spunky music) – “One Man, Two Guvnors”
is a show about a guy who gets two jobs and it’s
way more than he can handle and he has a lot of
different, hilarious ways of trying to deal with the
stress of serving both bosses. – Starting out the season
with a really upbeat comedy was a really awesome choice
since the main character is a very like stressed out guy, who’s overloaded and overworked. – I think college students
can all relate to Francis to some degree of convincing
yourself that you can do more than you can actually do and
then having to compensate. – These characters are all super relevant. You know who these characters are, you’ve seen them a thousand times over. – I think what makes
this production unique is the fact that our
director has specialized in what’s called clown comedy. Which is just a very physical comedy. – He’s very good at crafting
a show in that sort of way. So we’ve all been working with him closely to make sure that each
spot is tightly knit to make sure that the joke is good here. – And it’s a dialect show. I’ve played British
characters in the past, not since I got to college,
so I was really rusty on it but I watched a lot of British TV and kind of worked on
talking in a British dialect. – This show is one of the funniest shows I’ve ever had the pleasure of working on. If you’re in the area and
you definitely are looking for a fun evening come see
“One Man, Two Guvnors”.
