Play On! – Theatre Columbus State

Sonda Staley, Director: It’s a farce – it’s
a play-within a play – So it’s a play about making a play. If you three-year-olds want to mess around
instead of learning this play, I should just leave. I’m sorry, Gerry. It’s like an homage to theatre. It talks about the process, but mostly about
what can and will go wrong. But Percival doesn’t own the diamond…the
ruby…the diamond anymore, not since he sold it to Lord Dudley for Lady Margaret’s correction… connection… confection… Collection! Collection. So it’s kind of a lot of fun, but it’s also
really hard to do a scene three times, three different ways, and still know where you are. So it’s a big challenge too. **phone rings** What the hell?! Aggie! Sorry, I put my coffee cup down on the phone. Mickey Jefferson, “Gerry”: I think that
this is just one of the best productions that I have been a part of. The costumes, the makeup, everything. And we’ve come up with such an intricate universe.
