The Italian-themed Venetian Resort Hotel Casino offers the finest dining options for foodies, atmospheric shopping and prominent year-round events. Prepare for a grand entrance as soon as you pull up under the elaborate murals overlooking the porte cochere. The frescoes depict an ancient map of the world and handmade Italian paintings. The art continues as guests check in beneath an oversized map of Italy. The Venetian lobby has the grandeur of an Italian museum with high domed ceilings, columns, a fountain and statue, and detailed artistry throughout. A long walkway beneath a vaulted ceiling of authentic, hand-painted frescoes leads guests between the lobby and the casino floor. The Grand Colonnade is lined with 25-foot Botticino marble columns and the 3-D dimensional pattern on the floor was hand-fitted with Italian marble to precisely replicate the floor of the Church of Santa Maria del Rosario. The standard room at The Venetian is a Luxury Suite with a kind bed next to a living and dining area. A Luxury Suite seats three or four for lounging or dining with a wide view over the Strip. In the 44,000 square-foot restaurant dominated by a massive statue of Buddha, dine on dishes such as crispy rice, wok sirloin, sushi, crispy shrimp and Chilean sea bass satay from chef Michael Armstrong. Many of the star DJs who play later on the club side dine here beforehand. Inspired by Bali, the recently renovated, 18,000 square-foot Tao Beach features tall bamboo to shield partygoers from the public, lush greenery and plenty of statues of Buddha so you can achieve some zen while you tan. With only 12 cabanas surrounding the pool, Tao Beach has a smaller footprint than others on the Strip, but that just means the action is more intimate.
