Visiting the Healy Theatre

Hello and welcome to The Theatre School at DePaul University’s Lincoln Park Campus. We’re looking forward to seeing you at our theatres. When you see our productions, you are seeing the result of student collaborations— fully supported by our award-winning faculty and staff. We encourage our students to take risks and to try new things as they develop their artistry. Our students represent the next generation of theatre artists in all disciplines. We hope you enjoy seeing them fine-tune their professional skills as much as we do! DePaul’s Lincoln Park campus is located at
2350 N Racine Ave at the corner of Racine and Fullerton. Street parking is available on Racine.
The West side of Racine is metered. The meters are active Monday- Saturday from 8 AM to 10PM, with a 3 hour maximum. The East side of the street is free parking. Disabled parking is available on the East side of Racine in front of the residential hall. We have a parking garage, one block east of Racine, Clifton Parking Deck, at 2330 N. Clifton Avenue, between Fullerton and Webster. The DePaul rates are available with DePaul ID or voucher/validation stamp. Anyone not using a DePaul ID or voucher/validation stamp will be charged full price. A parking validation machine is located at the Building Reception desk on the first floor of The Theatre School. We are conveniently located off of the Fullerton Red/Brown/Purple L stop. The stop is located 4 blocks from The Theatre School. Exit at Fullerton, walk west on Fullerton to Racine Avenue, then turn left on Racine. We are also at the corner where the #74 Fullerton bus stops at Racine. If you have parked in the Clifton Garage, walk east to The Theatre School, enter through the alley or on Fullerton. There are 2 entrances to the Theatre School, one on Racine and one on Fullerton. When you walk through the double doors from the Racine entrance, turn left and walk around the Building Receptionist’s desk. The elevator will be on your left. Take the elevator to the 4th floor. Exit straight out of the elevator to find the Healy Box office. Restrooms are located to the left of Healy Box Office. To the right of the Healy Box office is the Healy Theater. Because the Healy Theatre is a flexible black box space, the theater will have a different seating arrangement for each production. The Healy Theater is also general admission, so you will be able to choose your own seat when you enter the theater. The chairs are free standing, so selected seats can be removed to accomodate patrons who use wheelchairs. For patrons with hearing loss, The Theatre School is equipped with Listen Up! These assistive listening devices are available to patrons upon request and can be used for all performances. We also offer personal closed captioning devices through the Figaro Systems. Simultext is an iPhone or iPod real-time captions transmitted over a wireless network. These captioning devices are available to patrons upon request. For patrons who are blind or low vision, we offer audio description for one performance per play. These performances also include a touch tour, which takes place an hour and a half before the performance is scheduled to begin. The touch tour program will include information about the characters and design choices that add to the world of the play. Please indicate interest in the touch tour when you order your tickets. Patrons who are participating in the audio-described event may also request the playbill in Braille, large print, and audio formats. To see when these performances are offered, please call the box office or visit our website for a calendar. Patrons with disabilities and their guests pay only $5 per ticket.
