Wiremold: OFR Series Overfloor Raceway Brings Power to Lecture Hall

Wiremold: OFR Series Overfloor Raceway Brings Power to Lecture Hall

We’re here in a lecture hall in the University of Illinois
to describe a Wiremold solution to a growing problem: feeding power and A/V to open spaces. This lecture hall was designed and built for students with pens and notebooks, but now they’re bringing their mobile devices into each classroom. Wiremold surface-mounted raceway was mounted along the walls of this lecture hall, but students in the center had to use these extension cords. Wiremold to the rescue with its new overfloor raceway. It’s a more permanent solution than rubber wire guards, and the
Wiremold OFR raceway attaches directly to the floor covering so installers do not have to remove carpet, tile or
wood, making it a fast and secure installation. The raceway feeds power from the wall behind the lectern, up the center riser in stair
step fashion, all the way to the top tier of this lecture hall. Students can access power at their feet or just
behind them on the next tier row. Wiremold Overfloor Raceway – perfect for feeding power
or A/V access to open space applications. Legrand – designed to be better.™
